One of my use cases for plugmate would be to upgrade my 2020 Android 10 phone that I still use but that has no upgrade for android or security patches (last security patch 2022!). My phone is stuck at Android 10 but the phone is still absolutely usable and I still like it. No other custom ROM exists so my phone is otherwise at a dead end. My thinking is that plugmate gives me a path to get this phone both to Android 14 and restore security updates. It would allow me to do anything that I need/want with more privacy and security with apps inside of the plug os environment, store my data and records with more privacy and security. I can remove my banking and shopping apps from my less secure unpatched android 10 and move them to plugmate's os while still maintaining backwards compatibility with any other apps that I might want to keep on the original android 10 Os. Easy and maintains backward/original phone compatibility. It's a super easy degoogle path as well.

It's impressive how they managed to fit an 8-core CPU and 128GB of storage into something the size of a thumb drive! The cross-platform compatibility is key being able to switch from my phone to my laptop and have all my secure files right there is super convenient. Great demo of the shared folder transfer too!

Having a fully isolated 8-core computer in a thumb-drive form factor is incredible—especially with the 'trusted device' authentication that keeps your data safe even if the physical drive is stolen. From the internal firewall to the secure Heliboard, it's clear this was built from the ground up for privacy. It's great to see a solution that works across Android, iOS, and PC.

sorry for the question but this product seems superior to Tails, or am I wrong? The only advantage/disadvantage of Tails is that on the Mac side it only works with machines that have Intel CPUs and not with the newer ones that have Silicon CPUs, while PlugMate on the Mac side only works with the newer ones that have USB-C ports and Silicon CPUs. Ok, so after some waiting I finally received the plugOs. Now I want to share my honest review. The hardware is tiny, well polished looks like an usb stick but pretty small. The packaging is well done and overall it feels like a premium product. The experience is snappy. The hardware works well, doesn't lag, have tested it only with basic applications, didn't try games or smth that requires more computing power, but overall nice experience.

Plugmate seems really cool, one of the various uses could be for those who invest, crypto wallets etc etc. so as to avoid that if they lose/have their phone stolen they do not lose their wallet etc etc.

I bought one as well. Looking forward to playing around with it. I'm kinda curious as to what's the worst android device I can get it to run on lol. I'm also interested in seeing how this works on a PC/Mac

The fact there hole CoC in USB with ram and everything and runs android its just impresive. There allot of ideas in ths little tuff guy.

For those who use the phone on a daily basis, I find this solution more convenient than a graphene. A stock phone with hardware isolation when needed.
