1. Overview

Remote control means that users can send instructions to PlugClaw through a configured channel or mobile entry point even when they are not in front of the device, allowing it to continue operating the connected work environment. For example, it can search for files on the device, check task status, organize existing materials, or continue an unfinished task.

This capability usually requires channel configuration first, such as WeChat, QQ, Telegram, Feishu, or other messaging entry points. After the channel is configured, users can remotely send tasks to PlugClaw through the corresponding entry point and receive results. See Channel Configuration for setup instructions.

2. Case Scenario

The user has temporarily left the device but needs to confirm whether a project review report file exists on it. Instead of returning to the device and searching manually, the user can send an instruction to PlugClaw through a configured channel.

Example prompt:

Help me find the Word file named “Project Review Report” on the device and confirm whether it is the latest version.

PlugClaw will search for the relevant file in the connected work environment and return the result to the user. Based on the result, the user can continue asking it to send, move, organize, or further process the file.

3. Continue Tasks Remotely

Remote control can be used not only to find files, but also to continue tasks. For example, if the user remembers while away that tomorrow’s meeting still needs a summary, PlugClaw can continue organizing the materials based on files stored on the device.

Example prompt:

Please create a meeting-ready summary based on the latest project review report, and send it to me first for confirmation.

4. Tips

  • Complete channel configuration first: Remote control depends on an available messaging entry point. See Channel Configuration for setup instructions.
  • State the task clearly: For example, what file to find, what status to confirm, or which task to continue.
  • Confirm before high-risk actions: For overwriting, deleting, or bulk moving files, ask PlugClaw to provide a preview first.
  • Useful when temporarily away from the device: Remote control is suitable for commuting, being out of office, or handling tasks between meetings.
