The Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) operating system used by PlugOS — TrustKernel TEE OS 2.0 — has achieved Common Criteria (CC) EAL4+ certification, confirming that this foundational security component meets internationally recognized high-assurance requirements.

Common Criteria is a globally recognized standard for evaluating the security of IT products, including operating systems, processors, and security-critical platforms. Achieving the EAL4+ assurance level indicates that the product has undergone rigorous analysis of its security architecture, implementation, lifecycle processes, and resistance to attack.

TrustKernel TEE OS has been commercially deployed across smartphones, IoT devices, and automotive platforms, with cumulative deployment exceeding 1 billion devices. Its security capabilities have been validated through long-term operation in large-scale, real-world production environments.

PlugOS builds its system-level trust on top of this TEE OS, running security-critical logic and sensitive data inside a hardware-isolated trusted world. By treating the host device as an untrusted environment, PlugOS establishes a strong hardware-backed foundation for privacy protection and secure execution.
