Why Does the PlugOS APP Prompt for a Device Status Change? Is It Necessary to Add It Again?
The PlugOS hardware and host use a bidirectional authentication mechanism. Both the device and the host maintain a record table that indicates which devices or hosts are allowed to connect.
There are two situations that can change the record table on the PlugOS device:
- When the PlugOS device is bound to multiple hosts, if a user from one host deletes the corresponding entry in the device’s record table, that host will no longer be able to connect to the device normally.
- If the PlugOS device is restored to factory settings, all data — including the record table — will be cleared. As a result, none of the previous hosts will be able to connect to the device.
If this occurs, please locate the product key of the device (note: if a new key has been generated, the original key included with the device will become invalid), and re-add the device using the new key.
