Message Sync
PlugOS supports dual-system notification collaboration with the user mobile: When an application in PlugOS (e.g., WeChat running in the subsystem background) receives a message and generates a notification, PlugOS will sync the notification content to the host client. Clicking the notification on the host can open the PlugOS APP to view details, providing a better cross-system messaging experience.
Prerequisites:
Enable notification and power settings on the host machine.
- User mobile “Settings” → “Apps & services” → “Apps” → “PlugOS”
- Notification settings: “Notifications” → Turn on “Allow notifications”,
- Turn off “Gentle notifications” (if present)
- “Background pop-ups”: Turn on “Allow”, turn on Sound/Vibration (as needed), turn on “Allow reminders during Do Not Disturb”; turn off “Smart Silence” (if present)
- Power settings: Refer to 【PlugOS Background Operation Setup Guide】 for different device models
- “Battery” → “Background Power Consumption Management”, turn off “Auto-manage” → Turn on “Allow background activity/High power consumption”
How to use:
- Go to “PlugOS Settings” → “Advanced assistance” → “Notification Synchronization”
- Turn on “Allow PlugOS to push notification messages to the host”
- Open WeChat (or another app) in PlugOS, and return to the PlugOS system background
- Click “back Host”
- When there is a new message in WeChat, the host machine’s notification center will display a message alert.
